Workshop for young music reporters at Karajan Music Tech Conference

1st-4th April 2020 in Salzburg

How can I put music in words? How do I write about the newest trends in music technology, how do I find the right pictures for innovative sound? What are the essentials of different journalistic formats? In the KMTCReporters workshop, young people aged 17 and up are trained in writing for online magazines or newspapers. They try out how to use social media as a publicistic platform for podcasts and video news.

Skilfully guided by music journalist Julia Kaiser, the participants acquire journalistic know-how and learn wo ask the right questions. KMTCReporter follows the Culture Tech Lab and Karajan Music Tech Conference, as a journalistic exploration. What is a creative collective? What do instruments from a 3D printer sound like? Can Artificial Intelligence compose like Beethoven? Which apps help their users to learn an instrument, to listen more differentiated or create their own music label?
